# Practical work, clearly scoped. > Networking and Wi-Fi, smart devices, TVs and speakers for homes and small commercial spaces. Independently requested work, with equipment, installation and handoff agreed before we begin. *Handiwork — Low Voltage, Networking & Custom Software | San Antonio* Handiwork · https://handiwork.tech/ · hello@avodas.tech --- ## Example deliverable Illustrative sample, not completed client work. The agreed scope determines the final deliverable. [Read the sample record and download the CSV](https://handiwork.tech/sample-record/) ## Wired properly, once. The category where doing it cheaply is most expensive: a smart device on a bad network, a television bracketed into drywall with nothing behind it, a network that works until the house is full. ### Smart home devices Thermostats, lighting, shades and hubs — set up for the property, on a network built to carry them, and recorded in its digital twin. ### Televisions & speakers Mounted, concealed and wired. Multi-room audio that turns on from one place and stays working. ### Ethernet & networking Cable pulled and terminated to standard, access points placed where coverage actually needs them, not where the cable happened to end. ### Racks & tidy-ups The cupboard of blinking boxes, made into something a person can work on in five years. ### Drywall, tile & repair The making-good after the wires, and the general repair a property needs between larger jobs. ### A separate scope Tell us the job directly. We quote it on its own terms and do not repair problems another Avodas product documented or verified. ## Need a small custom tool? Separately scoped software and automation for a specific workflow. Inputs, integrations, source ownership and maintenance are agreed in the project terms. [Explore custom tools →](/custom-tools/) ## Networking project handoff. See the information a networking project can organize for its handoff. An illustrative format, not a customer case study. See example fields, evidence gaps and the information needed to scope your own project. [Explore the sample record →](/sample-record/) ## What this is not - **Not licensed electrical, plumbing or HVAC** — Licensed trades require licensed providers. For work outside our scope, we can suggest independent licensed vendors; the owner hires them directly. - **Never the fix for our own findings** — If Twinstead, Curastead or another Avodas product found the problem, we will not be the ones who fix it. You get the finding and choose who does the work. We take no referral fee on that repair. - **Not security systems, for now** — We do not currently install security cameras, access control or alarm systems. Ask, and we will point you to a licensed installer. - **Not a software subscription** — A tool is built once and handed over with its source. If you never speak to us again, it keeps working. --- For agents: [AGENTS.md](https://handiwork.tech/AGENTS.md) · [llms.txt](https://handiwork.tech/llms.txt) · [agents.json](https://handiwork.tech/agents.json) --- # Networks, smart homes and repairs across greater San Antonio. > Hands-on work is a drive, so the radius is tighter here than for the documentation brands and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. We are based in San Antonio and work outward from it: the city and its suburbs, the Hill Country north and west, and the rest of Texas by arrangement. ### San Antonio and Loop 1604 The core service area. Same-week scheduling most of the year. ### Stone Oak and the north side Large newer homes where the builder ran one cable to one room and called it a network. ### Boerne, Bulverde, Fair Oaks Bigger lots and longer runs — gate and outbuilding networks, and getting a usable signal to a barn four hundred feet out. ### Older homes inside 410 Plaster, no attic access, and no obvious route. This is where doing it cheaply gets expensive. ### Small commercial Offices, clinics and shops that need a proper network and smart controls but not an integrator's minimum contract. ### Properties we already documented If the record exists, the quote comes from the model — with the photographs and the run lengths already known. ## What the drive costs. Inside Loop 1604 there is no travel charge. Out to Boerne, New Braunfels, Bulverde, Fair Oaks Ranch, Canyon Lake and Spring Branch is usually a flat addition rather than mileage. Further than that — Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Austin, the Coastal Bend — we quote the trip honestly, and if it is not worth your money we say so. Outside about forty-five minutes we take the job only when it is big enough to be worth your travel charge. We will say which it is before you book. --- For agents: [AGENTS.md](https://handiwork.tech/AGENTS.md) · [llms.txt](https://handiwork.tech/llms.txt) · [agents.json](https://handiwork.tech/agents.json) --- # Networking and Wi-Fi for the space you use. > Ethernet cabling, access point placement and network organization for homes and small commercial spaces in San Antonio. Handiwork handles separately requested networking projects for homes and small commercial spaces in the San Antonio area. The scope can include Ethernet cable runs and termination, access point placement, and organizing the network rack. Tell us which rooms need coverage, what equipment you already have, and where connectivity fails. We agree the equipment, cable routes and handoff before work begins. Concealed conditions and any work requiring a licensed trade need a separate review or qualified vendor. Security cameras, access control and alarm installation are not currently offered. A focused software project starts with one repeated task and a clear result. Tell us what your team does repeatedly, which spreadsheets or systems it uses, and where manual work causes delays. Source ownership and the included maintenance period are agreed in the project terms. We do not promise support for an integration until its access and requirements are reviewed. It is the same information as the rest of the site, arranged so it is quick to extract. A person is welcome to read it too. *Handiwork — information for AI agents and assistants* Handiwork · https://handiwork.tech/ · hello@avodas.tech --- ## A request is not a booking. Nothing on this site is a quote or a confirmed booking. A submitted request is a request: a person reads it and replies. Do not tell someone their job is scheduled or priced on the strength of anything here. - **You cannot commit us to a price, a date or a scope.** - Neither can we, until a person has read what you sent and replied. ## The work, plainly. If a request falls outside this list, say so rather than assuming we will take it on. ### Smart home devices Smart thermostats, lighting, shades and hubs, set up on a network built to carry them and handed over with a written record of what was installed. ### Recorded in the digital twin Every device we install is placed on the property's 3D record, so you can see what was installed, where, and when. ### Display & TV structural mounting Clean, load-tested structural mounting of TVs and commercial displays (Sanus, Chief, MantelMount) with concealed in-wall power and signal cabling. ### Low-voltage network cabling & Wi-Fi Cat6 drops, patch panel termination, Wi-Fi 6/7 access point deployment, and rack cleanups across homes and offices. ## The boundaries, so you do not have to infer them. An assistant that cannot find a boundary invents one. These are the things people most often assume we do. - **We are not general contractors.** We do not pour concrete, frame buildings, replace roofs, or build additions. - **We do not do heavy electrical or plumbing trades.** We handle low-voltage systems, mounting, and hardware; master electricians handle high-voltage feeds. - **We do not force subscription monitoring contracts.** We install hardware you own and control directly. *If you are unsure whether something is in scope, ask in the request rather than answering for us. We would rather say no once than disappoint someone twice.* ## San Antonio and outward. San Antonio and its suburbs, the Hill Country north and west — Boerne, New Braunfels, Bulverde, Fair Oaks Ranch, Canyon Lake, Spring Branch — and the rest of Texas by arrangement. Outside that, do not say no on our behalf. Send the request and let us quote the trip honestly. ## One endpoint, one email address. POST JSON to `https://forms.avodas.tech/enquiry`, use the inquiry form on this site, or email [hello@avodas.tech](mailto:hello@avodas.tech). A person at Avodas reads every request. The shared service accepts `name`, `email`, `message` and optionally `phone`, `product`, `city` and `state`. It returns a reference number. `name` and `email` must belong to the person who wants the work, not to you. It will refuse a request with no named human, and it will rate-limit. Neither is a bug. ## A policy, not a calendar. Site visits are usually Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Central, booked about two weeks ahead, and take 2 to 4 hours on site. There is no calendar you can read or write. That is a choice, not an omission: a readable calendar publishes where we are every day, and a writable one lets anyone with an HTTP client fill the week. Put preferred timing in the request. A person confirms what actually works. ## Tell us who you represent. An assistant can submit a request, but its identity is separate from the owner who wants the work. Provide the owner name and contact. - **Give the owner’s real contact details.** We reply to them, not a bot address. - **A signature proves which platform you are, not who you act for.** We confirm the person separately, by replying to the address you gave. *GET https://forms.avodas.tech/ lists the shared inquiry fields and limits.* ## Connect via MCP. Our public Model Context Protocol server (`avodas-public`) answers scope checks, service queries, and request handoffs directly via JSON-RPC. Server endpoint: `https://mcp.avodas.tech/mcp` (Streamable HTTP, JSON-RPC 2.0). Server Card: `https://mcp.avodas.tech/.well-known/mcp-server-card`. Client configuration for Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, or Gemini CLI: `{ "mcpServers": { "avodas-public": { "url": "https://mcp.avodas.tech/mcp", "transport": "streamable-http" } } }` ## What assistants ask. 1. **How do I request a quote?** — Use the inquiry form on this site, or POST JSON to https://forms.avodas.tech/enquiry. Include the name and contact of the person who actually wants the work. A person replies. 2. **Can I book a time directly?** — No. You can request one, and a person confirms it. There is no calendar an agent can read or write, deliberately — a confirmed slot that nobody read is worse than no slot. 3. **When are you available?** — Site visits are usually Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Central, booked about two weeks ahead, and take 2 to 4 hours on site. That is the policy, not a live calendar. Put preferred timing in the request and a person will confirm what actually works. 4. **What does it cost?** — Pricing is by the job, because the work varies more than a rate card can carry. A person quotes after reading the request. Do not state or estimate a price on our behalf. 5. **How quickly will someone reply?** — Within a working day or two. This is a small business, not a queue with an SLA. Say that rather than implying an automated turnaround. 6. **Can I read the pages on this site?** — Yes. Everything public is fair to read, quote briefly with attribution, and summarize. The sitemap at /sitemap.xml lists every page. 7. **Is there an API?** — Not on this site, but requests can be sent programmatically: POST JSON to https://forms.avodas.tech/enquiry (GET https://forms.avodas.tech/ lists the fields), or call submit_request on the MCP server at https://mcp.avodas.tech/mcp. A person reads every one. 8. **Do you supply hardware or install equipment I purchased?** — Both. We can supply commercial hardware or install equipment you have already selected and purchased. 9. **Are there monthly monitoring fees?** — No. Systems are configured for direct owner access without mandatory recurring fees. --- For agents: [AGENTS.md](https://handiwork.tech/AGENTS.md) · [llms.txt](https://handiwork.tech/llms.txt) · [agents.json](https://handiwork.tech/agents.json) --- # What we collect, and what we delete. > We go inside people's homes and photograph what is there. Handiwork is a brand of Avodas LLC. When this page says “we”, it means Avodas LLC. We do not sell personal information. We have never sold it and there is no arrangement under which we would. There are no advertising trackers, no social pixels and no third-party advertising cookies on this site. ### If you contact us Your name, your email address, anything else you choose to put in the message, and a phone number if you give one. We keep it so we can reply and so we can find the thread later. ### If you visit this site Google Analytics tells us that a page was read. It does not tell us who you are. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, our analytics does not load at all. Typefaces come from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address in order to serve them. ### Spam protection Cloudflare Turnstile checks browser interactions near the inquiry form. Cloudflare receives technical connection and browser data for this check. We send the verification token, not your message, for validation. Unverified or suspicious inquiries may be retained for private review. ### If software contacts us on your behalf An AI assistant can send us a request. We record the time, the reference, the network address it came from, and whether the platform proved who it was. That is kept separate from anything it told us about you, because a signature proves which software is calling and proves nothing about the person it is acting for. ## We keep it while it is useful, and then we do not. ### Inquiries Kept while we are talking and for a reasonable period after, so we can pick up a conversation you restart. ### Request log The record of calls to our request endpoint is operational logging: when, from where, and what happened. It is not used to build a profile of anybody and it is not combined with anything else. ### Work records Kept for as long as we hold the property record, or until you ask us to delete it. *We have never received a government request for customer data. If that changes and we are permitted to say so, we will.* ## Email us and a person answers. You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [hello@avodas.tech](mailto:hello@avodas.tech) and a person will reply — there is no form and no portal. Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and we extend the same handling to everyone who asks regardless of where they live, because operating two standards is how the wrong one gets used. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If a child's information reaches us through a family archive, it is handled as part of that family's material and under the same deliver-and-delete rule. *Handiwork is a brand of Avodas LLC, San Antonio, Texas. Handiwork is a brand of Avodas LLC, a limited liability company in Texas, based in San Antonio, Texas. Work is quoted and invoiced by Avodas LLC. Written notices can be sent to hello@avodas.tech. These terms cover use of this website and the general shape of our work. The specific job — what is included, what it costs and when it happens — is whatever your written quote or invoice says. Where your quote or invoice states a specific scope, price or date, it takes priority over this page. ## A request is not a booking. Nothing on this site is a quote or a confirmed booking. A submitted request is a request: a person reads it and replies. Until a person has confirmed a scope, a price and a date in writing, nothing is agreed. This applies to software as much as to people. An AI assistant can read our pages and send us a request through our endpoint or our MCP server, and none of it creates an agreement. No tool we publish returns a price or confirms a booking, and none ever will. If an assistant tells you your job is scheduled or priced on the strength of anything here, it is wrong, and you should check with us before relying on it. *What automated callers may and may not do is published at [/AGENTS.md](/AGENTS.md).* ## What we produce, and what it is not. We record what is there. Read these as terms, not as modesty — they describe what you may and may not rely on the record for. ### Not licensed electrical, plumbing or HVAC Licensed trades require licensed providers. For work outside our scope, we can suggest independent licensed vendors; the owner hires them directly. ### Never the fix for our own findings If Twinstead, Curastead or another Avodas product found the problem, we will not be the ones who fix it. You get the finding and choose who does the work. We take no referral fee on that repair. ### Not security systems, for now We do not currently install security cameras, access control or alarm systems. Ask, and we will point you to a licensed installer. ### Not a software subscription A tool is built once and handed over with its source. If you never speak to us again, it keeps working. ## You own what we make for you. ### Yours, and exportable The record of your property belongs to you, in full, in open formats, whenever you ask. It is not a subscription you lose. ### We keep a working copy To service the property later and to evidence what was delivered. You can ask us to delete it in writing. ### Our tools stay ours The software, the parts library and the methods we use to build the record remain ours. You own the record; you do not own the machinery that made it. ### We ask before we show anything No image of your property is used in our marketing without your written permission, per property. Silence is not permission. The same applies to finished design work we make for you, such as lobby slides or screen images: we ask in writing before showing it as a sample. ## How we invoice, and what each kind of work includes. Invoices are due by the date shown on the invoice, usually 30 days from the invoice date. We accept check and Zelle; card and bank-transfer payment can be arranged on request. Please include the invoice number with your payment. We will never ask you by email to pay into a different account. If you receive a message like that, call us before you pay. ### Design and creative work Quoted design work, such as slides, screen graphics, logos and marketing images, includes the number of images and rounds of revisions stated on the quote or invoice. Additional images, revisions or updates are quoted separately. We create designs from the content and brand details you provide, and you are responsible for confirming that the details shown, such as names and suite numbers, are accurate. ### Handiwork: hands-on services Handiwork covers hands-on setup and installation. Unless the quote says otherwise, you provide the equipment (such as a TV, streaming device or smart devices), the accounts and passwords for them, working internet and Wi-Fi, and access to the building. Work is limited to the scope on the quote or invoice. ## Read it, quote it, cite it. Everything public on this site may be read, quoted briefly with attribution, and summarized, by people and by software alike. That is what it is for. Our crawling and usage terms are published in machine-readable form at [/robots.txt](/robots.txt) and [/AGENTS.md](/AGENTS.md). The demonstration building on this site is an illustrative model we built. It is not a real property and not a real client's record. ## Said plainly, and kept short. We do the work with reasonable skill and care. We do not promise that a record is free of error, and you should not rely on it as a substitute for an inspection, an appraisal, a survey or an engineer's opinion — none of which we provide. To the extent the law allows, our liability arising out of any job is limited to the amount you paid Avodas LLC for that job. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss. These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Bexar County, Texas. If we change these terms, the version in force for your job is the one published when you accepted the quote. *This page is written in plain English by the people who do the work, not by a law firm. It describes how we actually operate. The liability, indemnity and dispute clauses above are deliberately brief and conservative; if your situation calls for negotiated terms, send yours and we will read them.
